Tips to Find Applicants Fast

Tips to Find Applicants Fast

Many companies today encounter road blocks when hiring, especially towards the end of the year.  With our vast experience, we decided to list a few key tips that can help hiring managers find the right applicant fast.

• Consider a temp-to-perm solution:  Having difficulty finding a permanent candidate?  Try a temporary candidate.  This gives your firm a chance to test the employee to see if they’re the right fit.

• Seek referrals from employees:  We are a huge fan of referrals.  Some of the best clients and employees are based on referrals.  If you’re in a jam, offer a special incentive for employees beyond the usual referral reward.  It will reintroduce the plan to employees and may just give you a flood of recommendations.

• Use LinkedIn and ask employees to share the job detail:  LinkedIn is growing fast.  Anytime you post a position via LinkedIn, ask your employees to share the job descriptions to their network.  Just a simple action may reap a ton of potential candidates.

• Reduce the number of person-to-person interviews:  Often during the interview process, the internal manager wants several people to interview a candidate, which can extend the hiring process.  Reducing the amount of interviews when you need to hire quickly.  In cases such as these, we recommend relying on vetted referrals.

• Outsource your recruiting:  If you’re in a bind and need to find a candidate fast, partner with a recruiting agency with a solid reputation.  They’ll be able to dip into their talent pool and quickly find viable candidates.  Find one, like Corporate Resources of Illinois, that doesn’t require a contract and has the reputation to get the hiring done fast.
